Beware of Newegg... hit or miss customer service.

I purchased this exact unit from them 2 weeks ago at 109.99. I contacted them expecting it to be a quick conversation about price matching to THEIR OWN pricing. They were adamant that their price match policy is for Newegg gift cards only, which wouldn't really matter if you're planning on purchasing more components but I'm now done with my build so that would just go to waste. "As a courtesy", they offered me a $5 refund. What a joke...

After 20 minutes of chatting back and forth with an incompetent service agent, they finally caved. I had to clearly lay out that they have a 30 day no hassle refund policy. If I return the unit and repurchase at the new price, they'd eat 2x shipping costs as well as restocking which is probably significantly more than my $10 refund. I thought this math was pretty straightforward but I guess they would rather just keep trying to nickel and dime me. Come on....how hard is it to stand by your own pricing within 2 weeks of purchase?

I would only buy PSU at Amazon for easy return.
Another would be SFX is prone to coil whine when used past the 50% watts rating even if it is a GOLD or PLATINUM.
You will note coil whine more often because your ITX-PC will be on your desk next to your keyboard and monitor.

Fine for some rigs, but yeah, these do not have the 600w cable.
ATX 3.1 will improve upon that cable as well.

Just give up. RMA it and reorder for less.

I've done it multiple times. I hate doing it because I feel guilty about the shipping charges, and the emissions wasted transporting my refund, but just do it. Less hassle. Same for Amazon.

The emissions lol, one politicians plane trip will cause more damage to the environment then a lifetime of shipping small items back and forth and why is no one crawling up their asses about it? You know BP started the whole green movement to shift blame from their oil pills and the damage they are doing and place the burden on us. This is such a clown world. If government gave two shits about our planet, they would legalize and subsidize hemp farming. It is a miracle plant. I suppose the war on weed is far more important to them. Basically you shouldn't worry at all you can dump oil down your drain and it wouldn't make a difference, the world governments will destroy the planet enough for all of us. Oh and let's not forget all the pesticides that every other civilized country has banned for health and environmental reasons.

Anyone here can chime in on whether this would be sufficient to power a 3090 FE in a Haswell rig? (Don't ask, it's temporary) TIA!

My Seasonic power supply randomly blows my house fuse when my PC is turned on. I didn't know what the issue with that PC was for a few years but after replacing the Seasonic PS the issue went away! I have 20 AMP fuses not the normal 15 amp household fuses thougth it was worth a mention.

It's so crazy, but I just did it with a 7800x3d processor from Amazon. I did everything but beg them to save their own money, but in the end, I had to return the processor the day after I received it and have another one ship to me for the ~$15 price difference.

It probably barely is. I've seen graphs that show 750 minimum and others that show 850 minimum, but I bought a 1000 watt PSU for a 4080 when I'm sure an 850 would have sufficed (850 was minimum recommended). It's always better to have an extra bit. There have been a few 850+ watt PSUs that are on the "A" tier list for $100-$110 lately.

Oh yeah, you clearly explain the math and their own return policy is why they caved lol They know their return policy; they can do math. They just don't want to deal with you any more and thought maybe the $5 would keep you from complaining. They should have just follow their own price match policy and not give you any cash refund at all.

I've been though dozens of builds with Seasonic, zero issues. They're one of the more reliable brands. That being said, bad power supplies happen from even the best brands. The one you're describing definitely has issues.

I've got one of these powering a 3080TI FE paired with a 3700x. My kill a watt meter says it uses 510 watts under the heaviest gaming benchmark loads.
